- Resurrected from near ruin by the Tesseron (of Cognac fame) family, who purchased the estate in 1959, this classified growth again shines brightly. Les Pelerins, their 2nd label, is crafted from the chateaus younger vines and reverses the Cabernet to Merlot ratio of the 1st wine, but has the depth and complexity of its estate stable mate. This is Bordeaux proper, with aromas of violets and long, silky tannins.
